PRECARE & AFTERCARE INFORMATION FOR LIPS AND EYELINER SERVICES
LIPS PRECARE
To achieve the best results, it is crucial that you follow the pre-care instructions.
1. Cold Sores: Lip blushing can trigger cold sores, even if you haven't had them before. Consult your doctor and start taking an antiviral prescription like Valtrex 3 days before and continue for 3 days after your appointment.
2. Lip Preparation: Ensure your lips are smooth and moisturized. Use a homemade sugar scrub for 3-4 nights before your treatment.
3. Hydration: Drink 8-10 glasses of water daily to keep your lips hydrated. Avoid lipsticks for 72 hours before your appointment as they can dry out your lips. Use a hydrating lip balm like Aquaphor instead.
4. Alcohol and Caffeine: Avoid alcohol and caffeine for 24 hours before your procedure.
5. Skin Condition: Make sure your skin is free of blemishes, eczema, and psoriasis.
6. Supplements: Stop taking Fish Oil, Vitamin C, Glucosamine, Evening Primrose Oil, and Ginger 7 days before your appointment.
7. Blood Thinners: Discontinue blood-thinning medications 72 hours before your procedure, unless advised otherwise by your doctor. Use Tylenol for pain relief if needed.
8. Accutane: Cease taking Accutane six months before your appointment.
9. Skincare Products: Avoid retinol, acids, anti-aging, and acne products for 30 days before your appointment.
10. Facial Treatments: Do not have facials, microdermabrasion, microneedling, peels, or laser treatments for at least four weeks before your appointment.
11. Tanning: Avoid sun tanning or tanning beds for two weeks before your appointment. Reschedule if you have a sunburn.
12. Scars: Make sure any scars from surgery or injury are healed for at least one year before the service.
13. Lip Fillers: Wait 6 weeks after getting lip fillers before lip blushing. Lip fillers like collagen can affect color retention if done within 6 weeks, and Restylane can cause pigment migration along the lip line. If planning lip fillers after the procedure, wait at least 6 weeks.
LIPS AFTERCARE
First Day:
For the first 4 hours after the procedure, use the clean tissue to gently dab the lip area and absorb excess lymph fluid. This helps prevent hardening of fluids and reduces the chance of scabbing.
Expect swelling, tenderness, and intense color. Don't worry—this is normal and will subside.
Day (2):
Swelling decreases but tenderness and dryness increase. Avoid touching your lips and apply ointment regularly.
Days (3-7):
Your lips will start and finish peeling, with color lightening by 30%-50%. Let the peeling occur naturally and keep your lips moist without picking or rubbing.
Week (2):
Peeling is complete, and color appears lighter. You can resume normal activities, but your lips will continue to heal over the next six weeks, with more color emerging each week. Keep your lips moist.
Weeks (6-8):
Your lips are fully healed, and you're feeling fantastic! Just add some lip gloss and you're ready to go. Note that most lip transformations require two treatments for best results.

Touch up session will be 14-18 weeks later.

EYELINER AFTERCARE
There may be swelling, bruising and redness after the treatment which is common. Swelling will go away by itself after 24-72 hours. Taking antihistamine prior to treatment and the day following will help minimizing swelling. You can also apply icepack to help soothe the area. Ice packs can be applied for 10 minutes each hour for the first 4-8 hours following the procedure. The ice is used to reduce swelling and provide comfort. If you experience any residual swelling the following day, you may ice them again. After the first 24 hours the use of ice is no longer beneficial.
First Day Care:
For the first 4 hours after the procedure, use the provided water wipes to gently dab the eye area and absorb excess lymph fluid. This helps prevent hardening of fluids and reduces the chance of scabbing. Do not apply ointment.
Your eyes may be slightly puffy or swollen, with heavy lids, light sensitivity, and possibly bloodshot. To help reduce swelling, sleep in a slightly elevated position.
Day 1-3
DO NOT WASH!
Apply Ointment: Apply ointment sparingly 2 to 3 times a day. Use the Q-tip in a gentle dabbing motion as not to disrupt the pigmentation bonding process. This will keep the area moist and accelerate the healing. If scabs form, keep ointment on them at all times. Do not rub the area in any way.
Avoid:
1. Scab Care: Do not pick, rub, or peel off scabs to avoid bald spots, scars, or infection.
2. Moisture: Keep the area from drying out completely to prevent scabbing and cracking.
3. Makeup: Avoid applying makeup on the treated area for 7-10 days.
4. Mascara: Do not use mascara until the outer healing is complete.
5. Sleeping: Avoid sleeping on your face and use a fresh pillowcase.
6. Water Exposure: Avoid swimming, saunas, and hot tubs for the first 7-10 days.
7. Rinsing: Avoid excessive rinsing and hot water on the treated area.
8. Contact Lenses: Do not wear contact lenses for at least 72 hours.
9. Eyelash Treatments: Do not dye, perm, or use an eyelash curler for 2 weeks.
10. Eyelash Serums: Avoid using eyelash serums or growth stimulators as they may cause pigment migration.
11. Tanning: Avoid sun tanning or tanning beds for two weeks after your appointment.
